I went to the screening of Playing with FIRE in Atlanta last weekend. Here are my thoughts on this incredible experience.

There certainly are bloggers out there that make mini fortunes, Michelle Schroeder-Gardner is very transparent that she makes over $100,000 a month from her blog. Paula Paint is also transparent about how much she makes from her blog. She posts annual figures demonstrating her six-figure income. Mr. Money Mustache has also disclosed that he makes six-figure annual income from his blog as well. So is that what you should expect?

A few years ago, I heard an allegory that has really stuck with me on my journey towards financial independence. It has helped me turn down a few opportunities that may have been profitable but distracting toward my goal. It reminds us that money is not the goal but rather the obstacle between us and the true goal.
